I'm a writer, editor, and communication strategist based in central California, specializing in luxury, biotechnology with an emphasis on biomaterials, recommerce and ecology, art, design, fashion, and culture.

My commercial work spans writing (speechwriting, communications, executive ghostwriting, video scripts, case studies, SEO and B2B/B2C brand copy), editing (developmental and research-based), and translation (Portuguese to English).

I began my career in academia, teaching writing at the college level for eight years, while earning a PhD in comparative literature and visual culture. While in school, I started to build my freelancing portfolio, working with clients like Shopbop, Mountain Travel Sobek, Wisconsin Public Television, and University of Wisconsin Press and writing for venues like Scapegoats and Panaceas and Harriet and Leone.

After completing my PhD, I transitioned to in-house writing roles at Dirigible Studio (a web marketing and design agency in Madison, WI) and most recently MycoWorks, an SF-based biotech firm where I served as Brand and Communications Writer. I now provide writing, research, and editing services for clients and organizations.

I write, edit, and strategize for vision-driven organizations and people; I activate my empathy, intellectual insight, and deep cultural awareness to tell their stories.
