About

I’m a writer, editor, and communication strategist based in central California. I write on social movements, visual culture, ecology and cosmology, queer life, chronic illness and health, and disability.

My commercial work ranges from communications writing, speechwriting, script writing, SEO and brand copywriting, to translation, research and developmental editing. I began my career teaching writing and critical analysis for eight years at the college level, after which I worked in-house for Dirigible Studio, a web marketing and design agency based in Madison, WI. My freelance clients have included Shopbop, Dirigible Studio, Mountain Travel Sobek, Wisconsin Public Television, and University of Wisconsin Press.

Most recently, I worked in-house as Brand and Communications Writer for the SF-based biotech firm MycoWorks, and am now taking on independent writing, researching, and editing projects.
